Can China overcome its culture of corruption?

Chinese leaders see bribery and corruption -- euphemistically termed "relationship management" -- as inevitable in business, writes Zhixing Xiao. That means that even firms that try to behave properly end up getting dragged back down by their rivals. "The rule of law is surely a better way of doing business.... But if we're to get there then we need to work on the attitudes of people in the system," Xiao writes.
