India distributes low-cost tablet computer to students

Some students in India received £23 tablet computers this week that officials say they believe could help bridge the digital divide between the country's poor and those who are better off. The country's goal is that 220 million children will have online access. The launch of the device, which will be discounted for students, was attended by many students, some of whom will help train others to use the tablets.
