Study: Toddlers consume a third of calories in snacks

A study funded by Nestle and carried out by Mathematica Policy Research found that many U.S. children develop poor eating habits when they are as young as 1 year old. Researchers found that toddlers who were 1 and older consumed a third of their calories through snacks, with the snacks becoming less nutritious as the children got older.
