Calif. STEM task force calls for more school, business partnerships

California legislators and educators are seeking ways to bolster science, technology, engineering and math in schools. Besides incorporating STEM in teacher-preparation programs and giving schools access to current technology, a STEM task force is encouraging more business partnerships with schools. For example, Dow Chemical reports a significant need for skilled workers, and is working with school districts and community colleges to help fill those needs.
