Fla. encourages local sourcing between restaurants, farmers

Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has introduced the new On the Menu campaign to encourage restaurants to offer more locally sourced ingredients. "The ingredients are crucial to everything I do," chef Brandon McGlamery said. "When I know the farmer, I can fuse my passion with theirs. That's an exciting connection. In essence, the farmer becomes part of our culinary team."
