ISDA study finds CDS activity is increasing

ISDA has released a report that shows an increase in credit default swaps activity. The organization also notes that using gross notional as the measure of CDS activity might not be the best way to understand and analyze the market. "Market risk transaction activity, which measures trading volume during a period of time ... is the optimal measure," according to ISDA. Read ISDA's paper.
