Pa. students receive lessons about the flag from veterans

Students in a Pennsylvania middle school recently received a hands-on lesson about the U.S. flag, thanks to a group of Navy veterans who were invited to the school by a sixth-grade social studies teacher. The Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates, who have been doing presentations since 2008, also shared details about how to fold the flag, the rules for raising and lowering of the flag, and its history.
