Kentucky state officials announced Friday that young people's use of medications without a prescription dropped significantly in the previous four years. Gov. Steve Beshear's office released data from a survey showing that the improper use of prescription drugs among 12th-graders fell from 15.2% in 2008 to 9% in 2012. "Our public health and law enforcement communities have worked tirelessly to educate the public about the dangers of using prescriptions outside of a doctor's care," Beshear said.
