Airbus to build A350; offers not to accept aid

Airbus on Thursday formally announced plans to build the A350 and offered not to accept state aid to develop and build the jetliner. Airbus said it hopes forgoing the aid will encourage negotiations between the U.S. and European Union over aircraft subsidies. The A350 will compete against Boeing's new 787.
