Airlines plan to launch ad-supported Wi-Fi

Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines are testing a wireless Internet system that is supported by ad revenues, which may eliminate the need for user fees. A Wi-Fi Alliance study shows 76% of business travelers say they would choose an airline based on its Wi-Fi options. The service could launch on both airlines this year.
