AT&T will open iPhone to VoIP services

Services such as Skype might now find a home on the iPhone under AT&T's decision to open its 3G network to IP-based voice applications. "Today's decision was made after evaluating our customers' expectations and use of the device compared to dozens of others we offer," said AT&T executive Ralph de la Vega in a statement. Apple said it would act quickly to approve VoIP apps.
