German retailers start to embrace Muslim food market

Germany's market for food produced according to Islamic law, called halal food, is just starting to take off despite the country having 4 million Muslim inhabitants. Spurred by the economic downturn and the desire to discover new markets, German retailers slowly are starting to cater to consumption trends based on faith.
