Interead puts its e-reader up for sale on QVC

Interead, a company that makes an e-reader called the Cool-er, said that in December it would begin offering its device as part of the "Today's Special Value" program on home-shopping network QVC. The move, which comes on the heels of a decision by Amazon to cut the price on its category-leading Kindle, is designed to take advantage of nontraditional sales platforms, said Neil Jones, Interead's chief executive officer.
