About 99% of turtles survive Michigan oil spill

Turtles account for about 90% of the 2,300 animals rescued off the Kalamazoo River during the recent oil spill in southern Michigan. Almost 99% of the rescued hard-shelled reptiles have survived, which is a better rate compared with other wildlife animals affected by the oil spill.
