Airline passengers seek greater automation, study shows

International travelers are interested in extending self-service to passport control, security and boarding of flights, according to a survey. Airline passengers also want handling of baggage, fee payments and missing luggage reports automated. "People just want more self-service at every step of their journey," said Quentin Browell, spokesman for SITA, a technology supplier that issues the report every year.
