Bondholders approve a settlement in WaMu's bankruptcy case

Washington Mutual's bankrupt holding company, JPMorgan Chase, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and WaMu bondholders have been battling over assets for the past couple of years. This week, bondholders dropped their opposition to a settlement in exchange for $335 million. The figure is a fraction of the debt regulators wiped out when they seized Washington Mutual.
