People love playing online games -- even when they're on the clock. Games such as "FarmVille" aren't even all that fun, Owen Thomas writes, yet players find them addictive. He argues that managers could make work feel more like a game by offering small but frequent rewards, emphasizing teams with mutual responsibilities and issuing data in "short bursts rather than long documents."
