Pediatric medicine needs its own trial data, expert says

More children are needed in clinical trials so that medical treatments can be tailored to specific pediatric needs, Dr. Gail Pearson of the Children's National Medical Center told an AAP conference. Pearson said children get diseases not seen in older populations and pediatric medicine requires more than just "hand-me-down" data gleaned from adult studies.
