Group aims to reduce energy consumption, building emissions

Architecture 2030, an architecture and design group, aims to help the global building sector achieve a 50% reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions from new buildings by changing "the way buildings and developments are planned, designed and constructed." Its 2030 Challenge for Products hopes to measure how much energy and volume of carbon is needed for the "construction, transport, and eventual disposal of the steel, wood, plastic and other materials in buildings," and then create product labels with that information.
