Ala. university recognized for women enrolled in STEM

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is among 50 universities across the nation recognized for advancing women in science, technology, engineering and math. The list was developed by The College Database, a nonprofit resource for college-related data and rankings, and highlights programs with strong numbers of female enrollment and graduation rates in STEM programs. "Encouraging women in these vital areas will remain a priority of for us," provost Linda Lucas said.
