Certificate program extends OSHA training to public-sector workers

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has introduced a program through which public-sector employees can take health and safety courses and receive a certificate. The program could benefit state and local workers, for whom federal data show a higher rate of nonfatal injury and illness compared with private-sector employees, this article notes.
