FDA explores ways to expedite R&D of pediatric rare disease devices

The FDA said in a notice that it will host a workshop on Jan. 8 to solicit public input on ways to expedite the research and development of medical devices and diagnostic products that can be used to treat rare diseases affecting children. The agency will accept comments on the workshop through Feb. 5.
