Maine county to put emergency radios in schools

Kennebec County, Maine, is embarking on a new program to distribute to all schools radios that operate on emergency frequencies, allowing school officials to communicate directly with first-responders in case of an emergency. Officials say the radios would be used to get information about what is happening inside the building to first-responders who are outside -- a top priority during emergencies.
