Manufacturers, industry advocates warn about effects of shutdown on aviation

In a roundtable recently hosted by the House Small Business Committee, industry advocates expressed concerns about the effects of the government shutdown on aviation. "In some cases, we can't even move an airplane," said National Business Aviation Association President and CEO Ed Bolen. Manufacturers say that aircraft are ready for delivery, the deals can't be closed because registrations can't be filed and in some cases banks can't process the liens to guarantee financing.
