Ohio schools seek to manage inconsistent reimbursements

Some school districts in Ohio are awaiting Medicaid reimbursements from the state for special-education services, such as occupational and physical therapy, nursing, mental-health services, and evaluations or assessments. The state does not participate fully in the program, which has led to a backlog in payments. Some are pressing lawmakers to expand the state's Medicaid program to cover these types of services.
