Study: Proposed Denver rail system could cost $1.4B to build

Construction of the proposed rail system in northwest Denver could cost up to $1.4 billion, according to a study prepared by the Regional Transportation District. The study also examined the possibility of "building a Bus Rapid Transit system connecting the northwest area" with six corridors as an alternative. "We still have a lot of work to do to evaluate all of the benefits and impacts of the alternatives under consideration," said Chris Quinn of RTD.
