House approves another anti-spyware bill

The House of Representatives yesterday approved a second anti-spyware bill, this one beefing up penalties for those who spread secret software programs aimed at committing crimes such as credit-card theft. The House's two anti-spyware bills may now be combined with a version pending in the Senate before a final bill is sent to President Bush for his approval.
