Taiwan's Taipei 101 skyscraper declared world's tallest

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat today officially declared Taiwan's 101-story Taipei 101 skyscraper the tallest building in the world. The building, which soars to 1,679 feet and tops Malaysia's Petronas Towers by 184 feet, features an observatory and boasts two of the world's fastest elevators.
