Expiring visa exemption threatens hotel worker jobs

Unless Congress acts to renew a federal law exempting thousands of workers at hotels, resorts and businesses from a cap on the number of visas for seasonal workers, the workers could be out of work -- as well as out of the country. The employers say they count on the workers to do jobs Americans don't want, and while bipartisan bills are in the works in Congress, they have stalled and become caught up in the debate over immigration and guest-worker programs.
