USDA concludes investigation over tainted rice

The U.S. Agriculture Department said it could not find any evidence that could help explain how the U.S. long-grain rice supply was contaminated with unapproved biotech genes, citing the loss of documents that might have helped in the investigation. Bayer CropScience said it was pleased that the agency finished its investigation without concluding that the company violated any legal requirement.
