Ban: Visit to Myanmar unlikely

Plans to visit Myanmar may be shelved indefinitely if there is no significant indication that such a visit would result in tangible gains on efforts to promote democracy, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday. Ban has repeatedly dispatched top level envoy Ibrahim Gambari to Myanmar, but there has been little evidence of progress.
