The office market is widely reported to be in a severe downturn but reports of office leasing recovering in Manhattan are popping up. As it turns out, both views are correct. In the Manhattan market, office vacancies have gone up so much and lease rates have fallen so far that vacant space is, in fact, attracting tenants again, Faber said.
