Experts push for E-Verify improvements

Efforts to reform U.S. immigration policies should also include improving the E-Verify system, experts say. Members of a panel that recently spoke at Brookings Institution and Duke University said that the system, which federal contractors use to verify the legal status of workers, still has problems with error rates. The report offers recommendations, including the use of biometric data.
