Group launches certification for federal IT standards

The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology says the newly launched Preliminary ARRA 2011 program will offer certification in electronic health records for vendors and distributors. The organization says the program conforms to standards outlined in the federal stimulus act, which sets new requirements for electronic systems receiving government funds.
