Institute awards $16.7M in stem cell grants to 2 Seattle scientists

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute has awarded $16.7 million in stem cell research grants to two scientists from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. One researcher will focus on the role of biochemical reactions within cells in cell development, and the other will study molecular and cell-based treatments for various blood diseases.
