Mississippi high court: Wind damage covered by policy

The Mississippi Supreme Court ruled homeowners' insurance policies cover wind damage even when water contributes to the loss, overturning a lower court decision on a claims lawsuit. The ruling could have direct consequences on the cost and availability of insurance policies in Mississippi, Insurance Information Institute President Robert Hartwig said.
