Researchers develop RFID testing protocols for medical devices

The Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta has started developing testing protocols for the use of RFID technology in health care to address possible electromagnetic interference issues and outline ways to handle them. The researchers will study how RFID systems affect various medical devices, including implantable infusion pumps and pacemakers.
