Rabid raccoon is discovered on New Jersey college campus

A raccoon found on the Rutgers University campus in New Jersey tested positive for the rabies virus. The animal was captured and euthanized Monday, after it was observed to have a wobbly gait, drooling saliva and no fear of humans. Health officials are issuing rabies advisories and fact sheets in the area; no humans are believed to have been exposed.
