Wildlife experts probe bird deaths at 2 Nevada lakes

More than 20 pelicans were found dead at Nevada's Washoe Lake this week, according to the state's Department of Wildlife. The birds will be tested to see whether the West Nile Virus is to blame. Meanwhile, 22 ducks at Virginia Lake were discovered to be seriously ill or dead and were euthanized this week. Officials are confident their deaths were caused by avian botulism.
