Communication makes practice changes easier, experts say

Implementing change within a physician practice does not have to be disruptive, but it does require a lot of communication throughout the process, business experts say. Staff should have the opportunity to voice concerns and influence changes early in the process, and physicians should not assume that because they understand and want changes, their staff will feel the same. "It's important to have an open door, hear their perspectives and address their concerns," said human resources expert Christina Stovall.
