Kathy Ireland has gone from gracing the pages of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue to heading a global brand that generates yearly revenues estimated in excess of $1 billion. In a recent speech, Ireland talked about being imperfect, the importance of having people in your life "who have your best interests in mind and who will be honest with you," and the value of criticism. "Criticism is a gift. And sometimes it's a gift wrapped in a really nasty package," she said.
