Students learn about campaign ads by creating their own

A high-school teacher in Hawaii suggests an election-themed lesson plan in which students create video campaign advertisements for past presidential races. The goal of the lesson, teacher Sarah Razee says, is to help students think critically about campaign ads they see on television and Internet. Students select a presidential race, research historical campaign ads, create their ads and present them to the class and marketing professionals for feedback, Razee writes.
