British curriculum takes off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is expected to open more schools in response to a 7% annual increase in pupils, according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. That includes 90,000 new places in 60 new or expanding private schools over the next five years and 50,000 more places in British schools by 2020. "We've seen more British schools open up in the past five to six years than any other curriculum," said Dr Abdulla Al Karam, director and chairman of the KHDA.
