Graham Center projections show primary care physician needs in the future

Primary care physician workforce projections for every state covering the next 25 years are important tools for policymakers, researchers and advocacy groups, according to AAFP's Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care, which released the projections. The series of projection briefs breaks down physician needs in five-year periods, compares demand in each region and nationwide, and suggests solutions for strengthening the physician pipeline, such as payment reform and increased funding for medical training.
