High-dose flu vaccine may good fit for older adults in long-term care

Antibody response increased for four out of five flu strains when frail elderly patients in long-term care facilities were given a high-dose influenza vaccine, compared with the standard vaccine, University of Pittsburgh researchers reported at the IDWeek meeting. Data showed the higher dose vaccine was not superior on the H1N1 strain.
