Lawmakers ask EPA for more listening sessions on GHG regulations for power plants

Lawmakers are asking the Environmental Protection Agency to hold additional listening sessions on its planned greenhouse gas regulations for existing power plants. None of the 11 sessions scheduled through the end of November are in the states that produce or consume the most coal, according to this article. "If the Environmental Protection Agency wants to hear from real stakeholders about its latest climate change initiative, the agency ought to include a public hearing stop in central Appalachia," said Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky.
