New flight school is approved at Calif. airport

Despite the concerns of some residents about noise, lead pollution and accidents, the Healdsburg, Calif., City Council unanimously approved an application for a flight school at the local untowered airport. Other residents supported application made by Robert Markword of Ram Aviation. "I can't imagine in the time and era we're in now you would stifle a small businessman. Pilots are good people," Gary Medvigy, a Sonoma County judge and civil air patrol pilot told the council.
