Nobel winners say NIH cuts undermine biomedical science

After it was announced that they had won the Nobel prize in medicine, three U.S. scientists used the platform to decry research funding cuts being forced on the NIH. "Federal paralysis is frankly imperiling our biomedical enterprise," said the University of California at Berkeley's Randy Schekman, who shared the award for work in uncovering cellular transport systems.
