Price of chocolate to triple by Christmas, analysts predict

The increasing costs of key chocolate ingredients, including cocoa butter and milk powder, over the past year will lead to a spike in the cost of chocolate by the end of the year, analysts say. A shortage of cocoa beans caused by bad weather and increased demand led to large price increases that will most likely be passed to consumers during the peak season.
