Proposal to restore FDA funding amid shutdown clears House

A proposal to fund the FDA until Dec. 15, or until the end of the government shutdown, whichever comes first, cleared the House of Representatives in a 235 to 162 vote, but it is not expected to clear the Senate. The measure would reinstate FDA funding to the level set under sequestration.
